BD to present new medical technology at ASHP meeting
BD is attending this year's American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) 2017 mid-year meeting, where it is sharing its latest medical technology innovations.
The conference, taking place in Orlando this week, gives BD an opportunity to share information on new devices and services designed to help hospitals and health systems to achieve a more efficient and connected medication management process.
During the show, the company will discuss the benefits of its BD HealthSight enterprise medication management platform, which offers a combination of connective technologies, analytics and expert services.
It will also share information on how the latest software update for the BD Pyxis ES system provides productivity gains, bidirectional inventory-level management, and the ability to request needed medications from the patient bedside.
Additionally, its BD Pyxis IV prep offering has also been updated to include additional configuration options, including real-time detection of errors for more accurate preparation of IVs.
Ranjeet Banerjee, worldwide president of medication management solutions for BD, said: "Our aim is to combine our products through technology, services and analytics to make it easier for our customers to deliver safe and efficient care to patients."
