BDA calls for dentists to respond to new satisfaction survey

12th July 2016

The British Dental Association (BDA) has urged UK dental professionals to make their feelings about their jobs clear through a new survey it is conducting.

A sample of BDA members working as associates, practice owners and community dentists are being polled to get a clearer picture of how dentists feel about their jobs, what influences this and their levels of morale.

The survey will also gather information on dentists' working conditions, career intentions and – in the case of practice owners – any recruitment and practice finance issues they might be facing.

These findings will help the BDA identify ways to improve dentists' working conditions and to present a strong case to the relevant government bodies when engaging in lobbying or official negotiations.

BDA chair Mick Armstrong said: "When we're negotiating with politicians, policymakers and governments to get the best deal for dentists, I can't stress enough how much it helps to have up-to-date information from our members."

Higher response rates to surveys of this kind will provide the BDA with more robust and compelling evidence, the organisation noted.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801821698-ADNFCR
