Beiersdorf maintains good momentum in first nine months of 2015
Beiersdorf has expressed satisfaction with its financial performance for the first nine months of 2015, during which it delivered a sales total of 5.04 billion (3.59 billion pounds).
This represented a year-on-year increase of 6.8 percent in nominal terms, or 2.7 percent on an organic basis. Meanwhile, its group earnings before interest and tax (EBIT), excluding special factors, increased by 11.9 percent to 750 million euros.
The upward trend in its consumer business segment continued, with a particularly pronounced improvement in the Americas, while its Tesa division also recorded slight organic sales growth of 0.3 percent.
Beiersdorf now expects group sales to increase by three to four percent for the full financial year, while its EBIT margin from operations is predicted to significantly exceed last year's.
Stefan Heidenreich, chief executive officer of Beiersdorf, said: "We have gained significant momentum over the past few months and delivered further increases in sales and earnings. That was our aim and we achieved it."
Jesper Andersen recently took over as the company's chief financial officer, succeeding the retiring Ulrich Schmidt.
