Binding Site adds new assays to SPAplus protein analyser menu

21st February 2012

Binding Site has introduced six new fully automated assays to the menu of its SPAplus Specialist Protein Analyser.

The new range of products includes four assays for assessing the quantity of different compounds in the cerebrospinal fluid, as well as solutions for investigating C1 inactivator and transferrin levels in serum and plasma.

These assays can provide advantages in the diagnosis of conditions such as immune deficiencies, hereditary angioedema and iron deficiency anaemia, being easy to use and offering quantitative results.

Other assays already available for Binding Site's SPAplus include the Freelite serum free light chain products and Hevylite immunoglobulin heavy chain/light chain offerings.

The life science company said: "SPAplus has an expanding menu of diagnostic tests related to disease state management and clinical practice guidelines. More assays will be added during 2012."

Last November, the firm was presented with an accolade at the prestigious EEF Midlands Outstanding Export Award, based on the success of its business model.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801298433-ADNFCR
