Binding Site wins Queen’s Award for Enterprise

2nd July 2010

Binding Site has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in recognition of its strong performance in the international market in the last year.

The science company was presented with the award in the International Trade category, representing the firm’s third Queen’s Award, having previously been honoured in 1992 and 2007.

It was honoured with the 2010 accolade for successfully increasing its export revenues by 74 per cent in the last three years, with more than 90 per cent of its product sales now coming from overseas market.

According to Binding Site, this growth can be attributed primarily to the growing success of the tumour marker and assay brand Freelite since its launch in 2000.

It added that this has helped it to create a wide variety of new jobs both in the UK and internationally.

Last month, Binding Site launched the MININEPHplus semi-automated nephelometer, which works in conjunction with its Freelite serum-free light chain assays for monitoring patients with monoclonal gammopathies.

We have hundreds of jobs available across the Healthcare industry, find your perfect one now.
