Bio Products Laboratory transferred to limited company

6th January 2011

Bio Products Laboratory has seen a change in ownership status following the completion of its transfer to a limited company.

The intravenous immunoglobulin specialist has become Bio Products Laboratory Limited following a transfer of the business away from NHS Blood and Transplant into Plasma Resources UK, a Department of Health-owned entity.

It means that Bio Products Laboratory is now run by the same holding company and operational board as its plasma supplier DCI, which will help the firm's operations to become more efficient.

The news coincides with the appointment of the veteran business leader David Pascall as the company's new chairman.

Mark Webster, chief executive of Bio Products Laboratory Limited, said: "We look to the future with certainty and clarity, committed to providing a continuous supply of safe, reliable, high-quality plasma-derived products, supporting both healthcare professionals and patients every day."

Last year, Bio Products Laboratory was presented with a Queen's Award for Enterprise, honouring the firm's success in growing its international trade.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800327070-ADNFCR
