Biogen presents multiple sclerosis data at ECTRIMS-ACTRIMS 2017

25th October 2017

Biogen is presenting new clinical data at this week's joint meeting of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis and Americas Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS-ACTRIMS).

The company is attending the conference, which runs from October 25th to 28th, to share data across more than 80 oral and poster presentations, including research on potential predictive and digital biomarkers.

Updates will be provided on real-world data generation initiatives including MS PATHS, which leverages technology in routine care to produce real-time data, as well as the Big MS Data Network, which provides data on more than 140,000 people living with the disease.

Additionally, phase II clinical data is being presented that highlights the benefits of the investigational molecule opicinumab as a potential means of repairing damage to the central nervous system caused by multiple sclerosis.

Michael Ehlers, executive vice-president for research and development at Biogen, said: "With more than 25 years of scientific leadership in multiple sclerosis, Biogen's commitment is unwavering."
