BioMerieux reports strong organic growth in 2015

3rd March 2016

BioMerieux has announced its financial results for the 2015 business year, during which it delivered an annual sales total of 1.97 billion euros (1.52 billion pounds).

This represents a year-on-year increase of 7.1 percent in organic terms, or 15.7 percent as reported. Meanwhile, its contributive operating income before non-recurring items came to 260 million euros, up by 14.6 percent on last year.

A key driver of this improvement was the successful sales performance of the FilmArray range, with the market responding well to its syndromic approach to the molecular diagnosis of infectious diseases.

Its new FilmArray Torch was approved by US regulators last month, giving the firm scope to further establish the brand as a leader in the syndromic molecular testing of infectious disease.

In 2016, the company anticipates achieving organic growth in sales of between six and eight percent.

Jean-Luc Belingard, chairman of BioMerieux, said: "We will pursue our operational action plans in order to further improve our performance for the benefit of our customers and their patients."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801813986-ADNFCR
