Biotest announces changes to management board
Biotest has announced a series of amendments to arrangements pertaining to its board of management, with the aim of maintaining the company's current growth trajectory.
Chief executive officer Professor Dr Gregor Schulz has had his term of office extended until December 31st 2014, recognising his success in doubling the firm's revenues and reversing its losses over the last decade.
Meanwhile, Dr Georg Floss has been appointed as the organisation's new chief operating officer, taking responsibility for production and operations.
Since joining the firm in 2008, he has helped to oversee Biotest's pharmaceutical production activity in Dreieich, Germany, as well as supervising the extension and expansion of activities in Boca Raton, Florida.
Dr Alessandro Banchi, chairman of the supervisory board at Biotest, said: "With the appointment of Dr Floss to the board of management, we wanted to strengthen the human management resources for continued growth of the group."
This comes after the firm appointed new heads of global clinical research and medical/regulatory affairs last month.
