Biotronik presents new products at Heart Rhythm Congress 2013

22nd October 2013

Biotronik is demonstrating a number of its latest medical technology offerings at this week's Heart Rhythm Congress, which is taking place in Birmingham.

The company is celebrating its 50th anniversary by attending the industry conference at Birmingham's ICC from October 20th to 22nd, where it is showcasing the recently-launched extension of its ProMRI technology.

Now including full body magnetic resonance scans for its dual and single chamber pacemakers, the technology offering means that Biotronik is the only company worldwide to allow implantable cardioverter-defibrillator and heart failure patients to undergo this type of imaging.

Also on display at the congress will be the DX platform, which uses a single lead for complete atrial diagnostics, and its advanced CLS Technology for pacemakers.

Dr Michael Kipping, director for sales and marketing at Biotronik in the UK and Ireland, said: "With innovations like ProMRI, DX and CLS, we have proven our ability to make a real difference in patients' lives and live up to our global reputation for excellence."

This comes after the firm announced earlier this month that its bioabsorbable magnesium scaffold Dreams has been successfully implanted in a patient for the first time.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801652071-ADNFCR
