Biotronik to present Qubic Stim at Cardiostim 2014
Biotronik has announced that it will be presenting its Qubic Stim device at the Cardiostim 2014 electrophysiology and cardiology congress.
The successor to the widely-used Biotronik universal heart stimulator (UHS) series will be demonstrated at the event in Nice this week in order to showcase its manufacturing, simplicity of design and ease of use benefits to a wide international audience.
Qubic Stim is the smallest device if its kind to be developed by the company, measuring about half the size of the previous UHS generations. Its small footprint and modular design make it simple to seamlessly integrate into cath lab practice.
The CE Marked device carries over essential features from previous device generations and offers an ideal combination of touch screen and hard key controls.
Christoph Bohmer, president international at Biotronik, said: "Qubic Stim represents an excellent compilation of features that have been developed over three decades and really takes physicians' daily needs into account."
This comes after the company reported positive data earlier this month from Peace I, a new study that shows the benefits of its Pulsar-18 self-expanding stent.
