Bite appoints new UK managing director

24th April 2017

Bite has confirmed that its UK managing director Kath Easthope is departing her role, which will be filled by her former deputy Rachel Gilly.

Ms Easthope has spent the last nine years heading up the agency's UK business, but has made the decision not to return to the role after completing her current period of extended maternity leave.

Under her leadership, the firm has significantly restructured its UK offering and sold off its European operations to sister agency Text 100 in 2014.

Her successor Ms Gilley has been serving as Bite's UK managing director during this time and will now continue in the role, reporting to Helena Maus, Bite's San Francisco-based global chief executive.

It has been confirmed that Ms Easthope – who joined Bite in 2008 after 12 years with Lewis – will return to the industry to explore new opportunities in September.

Tim Dyson, chief executive officer of Bite's parent company Next 15, said of Ms Easthope: "She had the time to take a break and reflect on what she wanted to do and she decided to take a different path. I am excited for her and wish her good luck."
