BMG Labtech becomes member of ALSSA
BMG Labtech has become the newest member of the Analytical & Life Science Systems Association (ALSSA).
The company, which specialises in the development and manufacture of microplate reader instrumentation, has had its membership application to the industry body accepted, with president Dr Ron Earp to act as its official ALSSA representative.
ALSSA is composed of globally-focused companies involved in scientific research and product development in fields such as pharmaceuticals and drug discovery, biotechnology and forensics.
The organisation’s objective is to advocate the interests of the industry and support its members’ efforts to deliver scientific advances in life research.
BMG Labtech also confirmed that Dr EJ Dell, its business development and applications scientist, will act as the company’s alternate ALSSA contact.
Last month, the science company provided a FLUOstar Omega multidetection microplate reader to support a team of Cambridge undergraduates whose life science research project was deemed the winner of the 2009 iGEM Synthetic Biology Competition.
