Boehringer Ingelheim makes significant donation to Hounds for Heroes

11th March 2014

Boehringer Ingelheim has announced the donation of 50,000 pounds to the UK charity organisation Hounds for Heroes.

The company was able to raise the money through a number of activities, including an on-pack promotion that saw Boehringer Ingelheim pledge money to the charity for every pack sold of its support supplement Seraquin.

In addition to the 20,000 pounds raised through this scheme, a further 30,000 pounds was generated through the company's Chronic Care Lectures, a series of educational seminars attended by 700 vets from across the UK during February and March 2014.

The money will be used to help train and provide assistance dogs for injured or disabled people from the UK armed forces and civilian emergency services.

Rob Lucy, Seraquin brand manager at Boehringer Ingelheim, said: "We have been overwhelmed by the support from both vets and pet owners in our bid to raise funds for this inspirational charity."

This comes after the firm provided a donation of 600 pounds to the Redwings Horse Sanctuary in Norwich earlier this month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801702074-ADNFCR
