Boehringer Ingelheim to host feline chronic kidney disease webinar series

Boehringer Ingelheim will be hosting a series of webinars focusing on feline chronic kidney disease over the coming weeks.

The company will be presenting a series of three online seminars – each counting as 20 to 30 minutes of continuing professional development – to offer information on the early detection and diagnosis of chronic kidney disease, as well as the impact this can have on progression.

Hints and tips on creating a balanced approach to managing progression of the condition will also be offered during the three sessions, which will each commence at 19:30 on June 20th, July 4th and July 18th.

The first will see Susan Randell, head of internal medicine at Idexx Laboratories, demonstrate how the Idexx SDMA blood test can be used to detect the disease early, while the second will be presented by feline medicine specialist Sarah Caney, who will explain the importance of early diagnosis.

Ms Caney will also return to host the third webinar, which focuses on disease management. All three sessions will be available to view on demand, and vets who watch all three will be entered into a prize draw to win tickets to attend November's International Society of Feline Medicine congress in Phuket, Thailand.
