Boots UK and Fearne Cotton team up for Children in Need fundraising

24th October 2013

Boots UK has enlisted the help of TV and radio presenter Fearne Cotton to support its Children in Need fundraising activities this year.

The pharmacy chain will be exclusively selling special Pudsey Bears that were personally designed by the Radio 1 DJ and Celebrity Juice star, with all proceeds from each sale going directly towards helping disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

Funds will be spent on causes such as organising activity sessions for children with partial or no sight or to supply a special pack for premature babies with life-limiting conditions.

Boots has been supporting the BBC's Children in Need campaign for ten years and has raised more than five million pounds over the course of the decade.

Cotton said: "It signifies the love and dedication from BBC Children in Need to every child in the UK. I hope my Pudsey Bear and Bear Ears find lots of lovely new homes."

This comes as Boots winds down its activities supporting Stoptober, the government's month-long smoking cessation campaign, which comes to an close at the end of October.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801653319-ADNFCR
