Boots UK earns acclaim for charity partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support

22nd September 2016

Boots UK's partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support has been named as one of the industry's most admired alliances in a new report.

The collaboration was named as the second most admired partnership in the annual C&E Corporate-NGO Partnerships Barometer, honouring the organisations' work to provide support for cancer patients.

Through this work with Macmillan, Boots has been striving to increase the amount of cancer information and support provided to customers via its high street stores, as well as through community and online channels.

The partnership was ranked second in the list for the fourth year in a row, with the adjudicators praising the work as being brand and mission-led, as well as for focusing on customer and supporter care.

Marc Donovan, chief pharmacist at Boots UK, said: "We are incredibly proud that the commitment of Boots' colleagues to this partnership has once again been recognised by the C&E Partnerships Barometer, and we look forward to continuing to build on the partnership's success in the future."

Boots' Macmillan Cancer Support partnership began in 2009, with fundraising by the company's customers, colleagues, suppliers and partners having raised more than 12 million pounds for the charity.
