Boston Scientific gears up for Connected Patient Challenge final
Boston Scientific has announced the finalists in this year's Connected Patient Challenge.
This is the second year in which the open competition has been held, with participants invited to identify and come up with ways of closing data-driven knowledge gaps.
Entries have encompassed many different categories, from medication adherence to home healthcare to addiction recovery and patient data management and security
Six finalists have now been chosen and the overall winner will be named at a special event on March 9th.
Dave Knapp, vice-president of corporate research at Boston Scientific, thanked entrants for "answering this year's call to unlock digital health in truly disruptive ways using big data".
"All of the ideas exchanged at the Connected Patient Challenge have the potential to address unmet needs in today's healthcare delivery system," he commented.
Mr Knapp went on to state that the application of data analytics and artificial intelligence has matured significantly for medical applications.
He added that collaboration with early stage innovators in this space is "a critical component in our ability to bring novel medical solutions to the forefront and make a difference in patient lives".
