Boston Scientific names new chief financial officer

28th October 2013

Boston Scientific has announced that Daniel Brennan is to become its new executive vice-president and chief financial officer (CFO), succeeding Jeffrey Capello.

Mr Capello is leaving the company to pursue opportunities for a broader management position and will leave the role on December 31st 2013, with Mr Brennan being promoted to fill the role the following day.

To help ensure a smooth transition, Mr Capello will work with his successor until the end of the year and is also expected to remain with the company as a senior advisor until midway through May 2014.

The incoming CFO is currently employed as Boston Scientific's senior vice-president and corporate controller and has been working for the company in various roles since 1996.

Mike Mahoney, president and chief executive officer at Boston Scientific, said: "I am confident that by promoting Dan to the critical role of CFO, there will be a seamless transition as we continue to execute against our strategic plan."

Last week, the firm announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2013, during which it experienced a year-on-year operational increase of four percent.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801654314-ADNFCR
