Brands2Life wins prize for technology campaign of the year

Brands2Life has won the technology campaign of the year prize at the 2016 PRWeek Awards for its work with Virgin Media.

The agency's High Speed Selfie campaign was named as the most effective campaign in the technology sector, with the judging panel praising Brands2Life for "powerful images that told a great story with real results".

For this campaign, Brands2Life allied with Hashtag to build a High Speed Selfie Booth that took photos of 4,000 people as they were buffeted by 270 mph winds. In total, it generated 226 pieces of coverage.

The campaign was designed to raise awareness of Virgin Media's broadband network expansion work and engage members of the public across the country. It has been credited with helping to drive registrations for the client's service.

In addition to this prize, the agency recently won a silver award for best use of existing social media platforms for its work with LinkedIn at the Digital Impact Awards.

The High Speed Selfie campaign also won the telecoms, energy and utilities category at the recent Masters of Marketing Awards.
