Bristol-Myers Squibb has promoted Paul Biondi to the role of senior vice-president and head of business development.

In his prior role, he was credited with optimising delivery of the firm's pipeline, managing its research portfolio and project management, and leading early and late-stage clinical operations.
Charlie Bancroft, Bristol-Myers Squibb's chief financial officer, said: "Paul is the ideal leader to continue our pursuit of external innovation that helps Bristol-Myers Squibb develop and deliver transformational medicines for patients with serious diseases."
The firm is one of the world's largest drugmakers, having delivered 12 new medicines to patients in the past seven years.
