British Heart Foundation appoints director of marketing and engagement
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) has hired Carolan Davidge as its director of marketing and engagement as part of a series of new appointments.
Ms Davidge, who is the current director of communications at fellow medical charity Cancer Research UK, will join BHF on October 13th 2014 and offers considerable experience in running major communications campaigns that have built brand engagement.
Over the course of her career, she has also worked for Shelter, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Medical Research Council.
Her appointment coincided with the hiring of Mike Hobday as BHF director of policy and Catherine Kelly as its director of prevention, both effective as of September 29th.
BHF chief executive Simon Gillespie said: "Their leadership and experience will help power our new strategic direction and drive forward our fight for every heartbeat."
The BHF is the UK's number one heart charity and the biggest funder of heart research in the country. It has been working to find ways of improving treatment for heart disease for more than 50 years.
