Burson-Marsteller announces new executive appointments
Burson-Marsteller has moved to position itself for further growth via a number of new senior appointments.
Jay Leveton has joined the international media agency from Proof Integrated Communications in the role of worldwide executive vice-president, while chief operating officer Richard Powell takes up the additional title of global corporate practice chair.
European chief executive officer (CEO) Jeremy Galbraith becomes Burson-Marsteller's global public affairs practice chair, while worldwide vice-chair Don Baer assumes the role of chief strategy officer.
Mark Penn, the organisation's global CEO and president, welcomed Mr Leveton to the company, while expressing confidence that its in-house talent has "never been better".
He added: "I am confident that these new appointments along with our current leadership will continue to propel our firm's growth and outstanding work."
Last month, Burson-Marsteller was named as the top international consultancy of 2010 at the annual PRWeek Awards.
