Carestream Dental launches CS 8100SC imaging system

9th November 2015

Carestream Dental has announced the launch of its new CS 8100SC panoramic and cephalometric imaging system, for use by general practitioners.

The device allows users to perform a wider range of diagnoses and treatments in the office, providing both panoramic and cephalometric imaging capabilities, and is one of the most compact cephalometric units in its category, with a width of only 72.5 inches.

Since it includes two sensors as a standard, there is no need to change the sensor between examinations, thus reducing manipulation and preventing the risk of damage to the unit.

Panoramic programs include support for both adult and paediatric images, segmented panoramic, TMJ, maxillary sinus and the new segmented bitewing. For cephalometric examinations, a variety of views are on offer, including up to three cephalometric image sizes.

Edward Shellard, vice-president for global sales and marketing at Carestream Dental, said: "We wanted to expand doctors' diagnostic capabilities even further with a full range of both panoramic and cephalometric image formats."

This comes after the firm recently launched the newly-updated version 12.4 of its CS OrthoTrac practice management software.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801805305-ADNFCR
