Carestream Dental’s CS 8100 named top panoramic imaging system of 2014

Carestream Dental has announced that its multi-award-winning CS 8100 panoramic system has won a new accolade from The Dental Advisor magazine.

The device has been named as the top panoramic imaging system for 2014 in a special January issue of the publication, which also gave the system an editor's choice award in its December 2013 edition.

An evaluation by clinical consultants saw the CS 8100 receive a 99 per cent clinical rating and an Excellent Five Plus designation. It won praise for its ease of use, high-quality panoramic images, intuitive software and advanced imaging technology.

This marks a total of seven award wins for the system since it was introduced to the market in October 2012, an unprecedented feat for a Carestream Dental product.

Its other accolades include a bronze International Medical Design Excellence Award, a US DrBicuspid Dental Excellence Award for best new diagnostic/imaging device and an international Red Dot Award for product design.

More than 1,000 CS 8100 units were manufactured in its first year alone thanks to its huge success.
