CDM names new creative director and establishes London as collaborative hub

CDM has announced the appointment of Olly Caporn as its new worldwide creative director, coming as part of a broader evolution of the agency's operating model.

Mr Caporn will take up this newly-created role to help meet growing demand from clients for the agency to establish a strong creative community and an effective cross-border collaboration strategy, reports PMLiVE.

As such, the structure of CDM is also evolving, with the New York-based group set to reorganise itself as a cluster of nine agencies driven by CDM London, staffed by creative directors working together on international projects.

The London branch of CDM has grown from 20 to 50 employees since Mr Caporn joined the business in 2013, and will soon become the base of operations for the firm's global leadership offering.

Phil Bartlett, CDM London's managing director, said: "Clients are being less US-centric in their global work than they have been previously, and this is not only a celebration for us, but it's a celebration for London."
