Cello Health acquires US-based Defined Healthcare Research

8th February 2017

Cello Health has strengthened its US business capabilities with the acquisition of the New Jersey-based Defined Healthcare Research.

Founded in 1983, Defined Health is a leading business development strategy firm servicing life science companies, with a particular focus in the biotechnology sector. It helps clients build portfolios and platforms by defining value for early-stage compounds.

Its thought leadership capabilities are widely recognised across numerous fields, with the firm hosting an annual Cancer Progress conference that is now in its 27th year, as well as regular Therapeutic Insight conferences.

Following this acquisition, Defined Health will work alongside the Cello Health Consulting unit to augment its early asset development and commercialisation capabilities, while also bolstering its communications, insight and market access expertise in the US.

Stephen Highley, chairman of Cello Health, said: "Understanding the commercial opportunity and applicability of early-stage assets is of fundamental importance to our clients, and Defined Health positions Cello Health to be able to deliver to this requirement."
