Cephalon reveals executive vice-president position

12th January 2010

Cephalon revealed this week that a position on its board of executive directors has come free, as one of its members has announced his resignation.

Robert Roche will stand down as executive vice-president of worldwide pharmaceutical operations on February 5th.

According to the firm, Mr Roche helped the business expand and grow to achieve sales revenue of over $2 billion (1.24 billion pounds) a year and has proved to be a valuable member of the organisation.

“On behalf of the board of directors and executive team, I want to express my appreciation for his 15 years of excellent service and leadership in establishing Cephalon as one of the leading biopharmaceutical companies in the world,” commented Frank Baldino, chairman and chief executive officer of the company.

Cephalon plans to announce details of who will fill the vacant position in the near future.

In December, Cephalon revealed that the Food and Drug Administration extended the action date for the review of its supplemental new drug application for NUVIGIL (armodafinil) tablets.
