Ceva adds new categories to Animal Welfare Awards
Ceva has added a number of new categories to its Animal Welfare Awards in order to ensure it recognises the accomplishments of a wider portion of the veterinary sector.
Traditionally, the event has been focused on the welfare of pets and companion animals, but in 2014 the scope will be expanded to include the farming industry for the first time.
New prizes for farm animal welfare, charity team of the year, volunteer of the year and international cat care will join established categories such as vet of the year, nurse of the year and charity professional of the year.
The 2014 ceremony will take place at the British Small Animal Veterinary Association Congress in April, with the deadline for entries set for January 27th.
Ceva managing director Alan Doyle said: "There are so many individuals that share our vision and values to improve the welfare of animals, so this is a fantastic opportunity to honour and champion these inspirational people."
This comes after the company recently made new clinical data available that underlines the benefits that the therapy spironolactone can offer in the management of heart failure in dogs.
