Ceva hails success of 2017 WVA Global Animal Welfare Awards
Ceva has once again provided sponsorship for the World Veterinary Association (WVA) Global Animal Welfare Awards, a programme it co-founded alongside the WVA.
The awards were presented on August 29th during the World Veterinary Congress in South Korea, with six veterinarians representing each of the WVA world regions honoured for their outstanding and exemplary welfare-related services.
Dr Sean Wensley, senior vice-president of the British Veterinary Association, claimed the award for Europe, recognising the work he has done in championing the cause of animal welfare throughout his career as a public figure and as a vet.
Other winners included Dr Joseph Othieno from Kenya, Dr Marlyn Romero from Colombia, Dr Daniel Ventura from the Philippines, Professor Johann Coetzee from the US and Dr Shehab Osman from Egypt.
Dr Marc Prikazsky, chairman and chief executive officer of Ceva, said: "I am very proud that Ceva has been able to support the WVA in establishing these awards and would like to congratulate each of the individual winners on their immense contribution to improving the welfare of animals."
