Ceva launches new flea and tick product Duoflect

Ceva has announced the launch of Duoflect, a new parasiticide that can be used to treat and prevent flea and tick infestations in cats and dogs and their environment.

Duoflect contains a new formulation of fipronil and s-methoprene, offers a 100 percent longer duration of action against fleas in cats and a 13 percent longer duration in dogs than the current market-leading fipronil combination.

Its duration of action against ticks, meanwhile, is 150 percent longer in cats and 50 percent longer in dogs, and is available in easy-to-use freestanding pipettes to facilitate administration and handling of the pet while ensuring no spillages.

To support the launch of the new product, Ceva has produced a range of marketing material, including client leaflets, which will be distributed via veterinary practices.

Nicki Glen, marketing project manager for Duoflect at Ceva Animal Health, said: "Duoflect's new strength formulation provides a longer duration of action than the market-leading fipronil combination, while its efficacy is proven through 13 recent laboratory and field trials."
