Ceva to sponsor APBC CPD meeting on canine behaviour

20th September 2017

Ceva has announced that it will be sponsoring the upcoming Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC) one-day continuous professional development (CPD) meeting.

Taking place at the Holiday Inn in Coventry on October 25th, the theme of the meeting will be "behaviour essentials for veterinary practices: effective strategies to support your canine clients throughout their lifetimes, from pups to pensioners".

As such, attendees will be able to learn about the most important aspects of behaviour at each stage of their lives, from before birth through to puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood and into old age.

A number of practical strategies to help veterinary professionals support canine clients will be discussed, with the ultimate goal of ensuring the wellbeing of dogs and reducing the chances of behavioural problems occurring.

Several leading companion animal behaviourists and trainers have been confirmed to give presentations on the day, including Claire Hargrave, Elaine Henley, Helen Zulch and Caroline Warnes.

Andrew Fullerton, behaviour technical manager at Ceva Animal Health, said: "As vets and nurses, I feel we should be doing more to improve even the basic advice we give to owners on behaviour. This CPD day is a perfect place to start."
