Chandler Chicco Agency hosts market access workshop
Chandler Chicco Agency recently held a one-day workshop to discuss the challenges of market access in the healthcare communications industry.
According to PR Week, the general consensus from the event was that communicators are in a strong position to add value to an organisation’s success in terms of market access.
However, PR professionals were also urged to do more to convey the true value of medicines to consumers and stakeholders.
Speakers at the workshop included GlaxoSmithKline’s head of global pipelines communications Sarah Mathieson and Michael Sobanja, chief executive of the NHS Alliance.
Mr Sobanja claimed that companies are sometimes too “fragmented” in their approach to engaging with the market.
“With their skills in internal communication, communicators can play a critical role in aligning internal teams behind the access challenge,” he told PR Week.
Earlier this year, Chandler Chicco Companies was named European Healthcare Consultancy of the Year for 2008 by The Holmes Report.
