Chime Communications benefits from healthcare trends in H1 2012

29th August 2012

Chime Communications has published its financial results for the first half of 2012, during which it experienced strong year-on-year growth.

The communications group achieved a headline operating income total of 73.7 million pounds during the January to June period, up by 19 per cent on a year-over-year basis, while double-digit profit and earnings increases were also observed.

According to Chime's latest fiscal report, the growth of the pharmaceutical industry is proving a beneficial trend, with healthcare firms refocusing marketing efforts to emphasise science-based medical communications and market access initiatives.

Chime is well-positioned to take advantage of these trends thanks to the credible European footprint established by the company's Open Health brand, which has been strengthened through a series of targeted acquisitions.

Christopher Satterthwaite, chief executive of Chime, said: "Despite difficult overall economic conditions, we anticipate continued growth in our sectors and in our businesses and, as such, the long-term outlook for the group remains very good."

More than 1,500 people are employed by Chime worldwide, with the group operating over 50 individual businesses across four divisions.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801438007-ADNFCR
