Church and Dwight maintains sales growth in third quarter

11th November 2010

Church and Dwight has maintained its year-on-year growth in the third quarter of 2010, with sales seeing a 1.7 percent increase.

The consumer products firm generated a reported net sales total of $656.9 million (407.1 million pounds), while its organic sales, volumes and earnings per share totals all rose compared to Q3 2010.

It cited new product launches in its Trojan contraceptive and Arm and Hammer ranges as key drivers of growth, stating that it expects to end the year with momentum behind its major brands.

This follows on from year-on-year increases seen in the first and second quarters of 2010, with Q2 2010 figures demonstrating a gain of 2.9 percent.

As a result of this continuing performance, Church and Dwight has affirmed its full-year target of earnings growth between 13 and 15 percent compared to 2009.

James Craigie, the company's chairman and chief executive officer, said: "We are pleased with our third quarter business results in what continues to be a difficult economic and competitive environment."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800230864-ADNFCR
