Church and Dwight reports double-digit growth in Q3 2017
Church and Dwight has reported strong financial results for the third quarter of 2017, with double-digit growth achieved in terms of sales and earnings.
The company's net sales for the quarter came to $967.9 million (739.29 million pounds), representing a year-on-year increase of 11.2 percent, or 3.2 percent on an organic basis. Meanwhile, earnings per share rose by 10.6 percent to $0.52.
Growth in the firm's domestic business areas was supported by the continued expansion of international divisions and the strong momentum shown by the specialty products business, with brands such as Arm and Hammer, Batiste, Oxiclean, Femfresh and Sterimar all highlighted as leading performers.
Church and Dwight expects reported sales growth of approximately seven percent and organic sales growth of around 2.5 percent for the full year, with the acquisition of Waterpik currently on track and expected to bolster the company's longer-term prospects.
Matthew Farrell, chief executive officer, said: "Our investments in our international business, particularly export, are paying off as evidenced by consistent organic growth, which we expect to continue."
