Church and Dwight reports Q2 growth and appoints new CFO
Church and Dwight has announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2015, during which it achieved a net sales total of $847.1 million (540.63 million pounds).
This represented a year-on-year increase of 4.8 percent, with organic sales growth coming to 5.1 percent. As a result, its adjusted earnings per share total rose to $0.73, or a 12.3 percent increase over the prior year.
Innovative product launches in all of the company's major categories helped it to achieve improved market share, with organic sales growth of approximately three percent expected for the full year.
James Craigie, chairman and chief executive officer of Church and Dwight, said: "We are extremely pleased with the sales and earnings growth in both the second quarter and first half of 2015. The strong momentum we ended 2014 with has continued."
The business has also announced the appointment of Richard Dierker as its new executive vice-president for finance and chief financial officer, effective as of the beginning of next year.
He will succeed Matthew Farrell, who is set to take over as chief executive officer of Church and Dwight on January 1st 2016.
