Church and Dwight reports strong financial results for 2017
Church and Dwight has announced its financial results for 2017, during which it delivered a full-year net sales total of $3.78 billion (GBP 2.72 billion).
This represented a year-on-year increase of 8.1 percent, with organic sales up by 2.7 percent. For the fourth quarter, the company's sales came to $1.03 billion, which marked a 15.3 percent rise on Q4 2016.
In the final quarter, Church and Dwight was able to exceed its outlook across all three of its key business segments, with its consumer domestic business seeing particularly strong volume growth and seven out of its 11 power brands seeing above-the-market momentum.
For 2018, the company plans to launch a number of important new products across several categories, including new gummy vitamins, water flossers, fragrances and contraceptives. Sales growth of approximately eight percent is expected for the year.
Matthew Farrell, chief executive officer of Church and Dwight, said: "The company expects to generate significant cash flow over the next three years. Our robust cash flow enables us to deliver higher value directly to our stockholders while maintaining significant financial flexibility."
