Clark Health Communications hires account director

Clark Health Communications (CHC) has announced the appointment of Sarah Newman as an account director, managing the agency's business in women's health and alcohol dependence.

Ms Newman joins the company from fellow comms firm Galliard and becomes its first full-time employee assigned to this business. She will be based at the CHC offices in London, where she will be supported by a network of professionals.

She said: "I'm thrilled to be joining at such an exciting time for CHC and to be part of developing the business and our team at this early stage."

CHC was founded in 2011 by Jeremy Clark, an industry veteran of nearly 20 years, who has experience of leading teams at agencies such as Cohn and Wolfe and Huntsworth Health.

Ms Newman's appointment comes in the same week the firm won the prestigious Communique Award for Excellence in Product Communications, in recognition of a recent programme to launch a new treatment for alcohol dependence in the UK.

It was also a finalist in the excellence in professional education programmes category.
