Cohn and Wolfe, One Green Bean win brief with HMD Global

13th March 2017

Cohn and Wolfe and One Green Bean have won a new contract with HMD Global, the tech start-up that owns the rights to the Nokia smartphone brand.

The global agencies have been tasked with supporting the company's high-profile launch of a new version of the iconic Nokia 3310 handset, which will be released in the UK during the second quarter of the year.

Both agencies have been working alongside HMD Global since it entered the marketplace in December last year. PRWeek reports that the firms are currently clarifying their remits, and that there are no plans to appoint any other PR firms.

Cohn and Wolfe has been tasked with handling corporate and tech PR for HMD and the Nokia brand on a global basis, while One Green Bean will act as the client's global social media agency, creating content and consumer brand campaigns.

Scott Wilson, Cohn and Wolfe's UK chief executive and managing director for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, said: "We knew we had to take a considered and careful approach to the reintroduction of the 3310, because it is such an iconic brand and one that is so widely recognisable."
