Colgate teams up with BHF to promote healthy living

27th January 2010

Colgate, provider of dental products, has teamed up with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to raise awareness of the benefits that a healthy lifestyle can have.

The organisations are launching their message in time for Healthy Heart Month, which spans the whole of February and makes the connection between a good oral regime and a healthy heart.

For example, the advice issued includes refraining from smoking and avoiding harmful foods.

Additionally, for every Colgate product that is purchased in Boots during the month, the company will donate ten pence to the charity, up to a maximum sum of £100,000.

National Wear Red Day is also part of the campaign, which takes place on February 23rd and invites people to come up with fundraising ideas and receive a free advice pack.

In December, Colgate’s junior dental award, which recognises the efforts of those who show outstanding abilities in the field, was given to a Newcastle student.
