Coltene reports organic growth in 2011

15th March 2012

Coltene has published its financial report for the 2011 full-year period, a period which saw the company achieve organic year-on-year growth.

The dental supplier generated sales of 146.1 million Swiss francs (100.98 million pounds) during the year, which represented a 7.8 percent annual increase in local currency terms.

This came despite challenging market conditions and significant currency fluctuations, with the company succeeding in strengthening its presence in key growth markets.

For the UK and Ireland, solid local currency growth of 5.3 per cent was recorded, while improved sales were noted in the areas of restoration, impression and hygiene materials.

"In the years ahead, the dental market will benefit from the increasing importance of oral hygiene and aesthetic dentistry driven by social/lifestyle factors as well as from global demographic and economic trends," the Coltene report said.

This comes after the company appointed Martin Schaufelberger as its new chief executive officer in January 2012, with the executive set to take up the post this summer.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801318997-ADNFCR
