Cook Medical signs up urologists for new Resonance Registry

31st March 2011

Cook Medical has begun signing up urologists to participate in its new Resonance Registry, which is designed to help encourage the sharing of best practices.

Medical professionals attending the recent European Association of Urology Annual Congress in Austria were invited to join the registry, which is based on Cook's online clinical data management system OpenDoor.

The service will allow registrants to review data for procedures involving the use of Cook's Resonance metallic ureteral stent, as well as benchmarking results and facilitating the exchange of insights over the best use of the device.

According to the company, this will allow users to benefit from collaboration that spans multiple institutions, geographic regions and medical specialties.

Jean-Marc Creissel, global business unit leader for Cook Medical's urology division, said: "Urologists across the globe now have access to current data on best practice treatment and placement options."

Last week, the firm announced the appointment of Dan Sirota as the new vice-president of its interventional radiology business unit.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800482728-ADNFCR
