Cook Pharmica appoints chief scientific officer
Cook Pharmica has announced the appointment of Dr Victor Vinci as new vice-president and chief scientific officer, allowing the firm to benefit from his extensive industry experience.
Dr Vinci joins the organisation from Lilly, where he played a key role in leading bioprocess operations and development efforts, while he previously spent six years in the employ of Merck Sharpe and Dohme.
He brings more than 20 years of broad technical, managerial and leadership expertise to the role and is particularly knowledgeable in the field of biopharmaceutical process development and operations.
It will help the company to maintain its strong reputation as a provider of one-stop contract manufacturing services.
Cook Pharmica president Tedd Green said: "We're carefully investing in people, equipment and facilities to make sure our customers are getting the service they've come to expect from Pharmica."
This comes after the Cook group launched a new division dedicated to the otolaryngology/head and neck surgery field earlier this year.
