Corin’s UK headquarters visited by MP

19th October 2010

Corin's UK headquarters in south-west England have received a visit from Cotswolds MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, in an event organised by local manufacturers' organisation the EEF.

The politician toured the medical technology company's Cirencester manufacturing site as part of an effort to highlight the way in which UK companies such as Corin can emerge as international industry leaders.

Mr Clifton-Brown praised the facility – which is used to create medical devices such as the MiniHip bone conserving stem and Trinity advanced bearing hip solution – for its technical excellence and innovation, as well as the benefits it delivers to the local economy.

The firm's group operations manager Richard Hemming said the visit illustrates the need for Britain to create an environment in which companies such as Corin can thrive.

"This not only means encouraging the right economic climate but also ensuring that we create a pipeline of highly skilled people," he added.

In August 2010, the Cirencester site was visited by prominent UK surgical expert Dr SJ Krikler, who praised the company for the efficacy of its Comet and MiniHip devices.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800123697-ADNFCR
