CryoLife reports double-digit growth in Q2 2012

6th August 2012

CryoLife has published its financial results for the second quarter of 2012, during which it experienced a 13 percent year-on-year increase in sales.

The company's revenue for the period came to $33.2 million (21.33 million pounds), a new record for CryoLife, while its first-half sales total also reached a new benchmark figure of $65.5 million.

During the quarter, the firm was able to complete its acquisition of Hemosphere, thus providing it with access to the highly successful haemodialysis product HeRO Graft.

The better-than-expected results, plus the impact of this takeover, have led the company to raise its guidance for the remainder of 2012.

Steven Anderson, president and chief executive officer of CryoLife, said: "In the second quarter of 2012, we continued to execute on our strategic growth initiatives and delivered solid top and bottom-line results."

In 2011, the business achieved a record-breaking annual sales total of $119.6 million for the 12 months.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801422905-ADNFCR
