CVS acquires Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic in Kent
CVS has agreed a deal to acquire Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic, an internationally-renowned equine hospital.
Located in Mereworth, Kent, the clinic was the first practice worldwide to install a standing MRI unit for horses and is led by managing director Julian Samuelson, who will remain with the company in the role of clinical director following the takeover.
The acquisition will bolster the specialist expertise that CVS is able to offer by giving it access to a large team of experienced clinical professionals. This will aid the company's efforts to increase its focus on the equine sector.
The CVS equine division has experienced rapid growth over the last 18 months, with further expansion expected in the UK and Europe during 2017.
CVS' equine director Ben Jacklin said: "Bell Equine has always been at the forefront of the equine profession, both clinically and non-clinically, and as such it is a perfect match for the equine division of CVS."
