Cynosure unveils new products

Cynosure has announced the launch of three new aesthetic products for several applications, including laser lipolysis, removing pigmented lesions and ablative skin resurfacing.

The firm, which develops aesthetic light-based treatments, is to unveil the products at the American Academy of Dermatology 2008 Annual meeting, in San Antonio, Texas.

Among the new products to be made available is SmartSense for Smartlipo, which is a system that liquefies and removes fat deposits and tightens tissue.

Commenting on the launch, Michael Davin, president and chief executive officer of Cynosure, said: "Cynosure’s strategic vision is centered on the continuous improvement of aesthetic procedures through technology innovations that benefit patients and practitioners."

Every one of the products being launched by the firm "fulfils that mission", he added.

Cynosure is to announce its fourth quarter and full year financial results during a conference call on February 12th.

Mr Davin and Timothy Baker, executive vice president and chief financial officer at the company, will be discussing the results for 2007 and their projections for this year.
