4th July 2011

Daiichi Sankyo has announced that Danesha Dixon Smith has become its new vice-president of human resources, a field in which she possesses considerable industry experience.

Ms Dixon Smith joins the pharmaceutical company having worked with high-profile firms such as The Home Depot and Kenneth Cole Productions, while her qualifications include an MA in human resources management from Keller Graduate School of Management.

She brings more than ten years worth of human resource leadership to the firm and aims to improve its standards in terms of employee performance, accountability and integrity.

John Gargiulo, president and chief executive officer of Daiichi Sankyo, said her proven track record will ultimately help to deliver a better quality of service to patients.

"We believe every employee has a direct impact on the success of the organisation and we are excited to have Danesha on our team," he said.

Earlier this year, the company expanded the scope of its international business via the acquisition of US-based cancer specialist Plexxikon.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800609954-ADNFCR
