Dako launches new update

2nd July 2008

Dako has announced a new update to its Dako Link software.

The firm claims its latest update to the Link instrument line – Autostainer Link 48 – uses its "revolutionary" software and provides connectivity options to offer an improved workload management and report generation while it retains optimal staining results.

A company statement said: "Laboratories and hospitals will benefit from the ability to further integrate Dako Link software with laboratory information systems and existing local area networks."

Dako maintain the update offers high slide and reagent capacity while
reducing the required laboratory space by cutting down the instrument footprint and connecting three appliances to one PC.

Earlier in the year the organisation launched a new set of antibodies for use in the diagnosis of cancer.

It claims the Flex ready-to-use antibodies range is the largest and most relevant portfolio on the market today.

The company enjoyed sales amounting to DKK 1,543 million (£164m) in 2007, up by one per cent from the previous year.
